Thulasi Haran is the Founder and Director of A-Frame Builders, a construction professional and property developer whose vision is built around one uncompromising principle: exceptional quality in everything A-Frame creates.

Since beginning his construction journey in 2009, Haran has built his career from the ground up. His hands-on industry experience, commercial understanding and relentless attention to detail have shaped both his leadership and the standards that define A-Frame today.

For Haran, construction is not simply about building structures. It is about transforming vision into something enduring: homes of distinction, developments of lasting value and places that people are proud to call their own.

He remains personally involved throughout the development journey, from early concepts and feasibility through design, consultant coordination, procurement and construction to final delivery. Every decision is guided by the same expectation: do it properly, protect the detail and never compromise the standard.

Under his leadership, A-Frame is evolving from a building company into a wider construction and property development brand, delivering quality new homes, premium residential projects and multi-home developments across Auckland.

I began my journey as an apprentice builder at the age of 16, immersing myself in the trade and overcoming numerous challenges that helped shape my expertise. A pivotal moment in my career occurred while I was installing doors; I received a call from my BCITO advisor congratulating me on becoming a qualified carpenter.

Following this achievement, I spent a year sub-contracting for high-end companies, gaining valuable experience and insight into the industry. This culminated in my application for the Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) status, which has allowed me to further solidify my commitment to quality and professionalism in the building sector.

Shah – Licensed Builder

Shah is a dedicated and skilled builder with over 7 years of hands-on experience in residential construction across New Zealand. As a licensed builder, he specialises in house framing, renovations, and full home construction, delivering high-quality workmanship on every project.

With strong knowledge of New Zealand building standards and site safety, Shah has successfully worked on new builds, extensions, granny flats, and structural framing projects. He is known for his attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to completing projects on time and to the highest professional standard.

Shah works closely with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth construction progress and excellent results. His practical experience and positive attitude make him a valuable part of the A-Frame Builders team, helping deliver durable and well-crafted homes for every client.

Seyon Navarathnam is an experienced project manager and civil engineer with over 20 years in the construction and infrastructure industry, including 16 years in project and construction management. He has delivered high‑rise residential and commercial developments, multi‑storey car parks, underground facilities, and major civil infrastructure projects across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Sri Lanka.

Before relocating to New Zealand, he held senior management and leadership roles in Singapore, overseeing business governance, project development, and the delivery of complex, high‑value urban developments.

In New Zealand and Australia, Seyon has contributed to infrastructure and capital works projects including deep shafts and air‑treatment facilities, bridge construction, and large‑scale civil works.

His expertise includes strategic planning, contract and risk management, stakeholder engagement, and integrated project delivery. His leadership combines strong technical capability, commercial acumen, and a commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability—ensuring projects deliver operational efficiency and community value.

Luxman Ramachandran is a licensed and registered electrician with over 10 years of professional experience delivering high-quality electrical solutions across Auckland and surrounding regions.

He holds a current practising licence issued by the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) under the Electricity Act 1992 and the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010, ensuring full compliance with New Zealand safety and performance standards.

With more than 25 years of experience in plumbing and drainlaying, Anandarajan Suntharalingam brings a wealth of technical knowledge, hands-on expertise and proven industry experience to the A-Frame team.

As Director of Skylark Plumbing Limited and a trusted specialist partner to A-Frame Builders Limited, Anand and his team are responsible for delivering plumbing and drainage works across our residential construction and multi-home development projects.

From underground drainage and service connections through to complete plumbing installations, Anand works closely with our project and construction teams to ensure every stage is carefully coordinated, professionally executed and delivered to the high standards expected across A-Frame projects.

His extensive experience, practical problem-solving ability and commitment to workmanship make Skylark Plumbing an important part of A-Frame’s wider delivery team.

Painting, Plastering & Finishing Team Leader

With more than 17 years of hands-on industry experience, Arif leads A-Frame Builders’ painting, plastering and finishing team, bringing exceptional craftsmanship, technical knowledge and attention to detail to every project.

His experience covers the complete finishing process, including interior and exterior painting, plasterboard stopping, plastering, surface preparation, protective coatings, detailed finishing, touch-ups and remedial work.

Leading a skilled team of painters and plasterers, Arif works closely with A-Frame’s construction and project management teams to coordinate each stage of the finishing works, maintain consistent workmanship and ensure every detail meets the standard expected of an A-Frame home.

For Arif, an exceptional finish begins with exceptional preparation. From the surfaces behind the paint to the final coat and smallest detail, his focus is on achieving clean lines, smooth finishes and lasting quality.
